Short Description of trails: This is depicted as a counter clockwise loop near the Stuart Range. The trail accesses high country and passes by Gallagher Head Lake. There is a challenging descent from the lake. Begin from De Roux Campground and pedal back up the hill to the N. Fork Teanaway River Road where you will turn left (north). At the Ingalls Lake Trailhead ascend up and above the creek. Pass the intersection to Longs Pass and Ingalls Creek on your right and continue straight. Move along the trail through switchbacks, sometimes crossing small streams and towards the northwest. Eventually the trail becomes more littered with rocks higher up. Then it gains a pass at around 6000 feet or so. From here descend switchbacks to the north which become more difficult and rocky as you go. The trail moves westward and puts you onto a dirt road. Follow this climbing south to Gallagher Lake. On the opposite end of the lake take a trail down into the De Roux Creek drainage. Zip through meadows for a bit and the trail becomes more technical. Navigate rocks once in a while continuing to a foot bridge just before De Roux Campground.
